ASBK Rider Numbers + Backgrounds

The following table outlines the required colour for competitor numbers and plates. Number size, font, advertising and finish must comply with the 2018 GCR 9.11.1, and 9.11.3. Only 2-digit and 3-digit numbers are eligible. Stylised numbers may be used if approved by MA.

Superbike – White Background, Black Numbers
Supersport – White Background, Mid-Blue Numbers
Supersport 300 – Reflex Blue Background, White Numbers
YMF R3 Cup – Reflex Blue Background, White Numbers

Number plates must be clean of all non ASBK related stickers, graphics, private sponsors etc. except for the decals supplied by MA at sign on and technical inspection. 

9.11.2 Number Plate Colours

9.11.2.1 Number plate colours for Senior and Junior competition must be as follows:

SENIOR CAPACITY

Up to 125cc Black Background + White Numbers
126cc to 250cc Dark Green Background + White Numbers
251cc to 350cc Mid-Blue Background + Black Numbers
351cc to 500cc Canary Yellow Background + Black Numbers
501cc to 750cc White Background + Mid-Blue Numbers
751cc and over White Background + Black Numbers

SIDECARS

Up to 500cc Sidecar Canary Yellow Background + Black Numbers
Over 500cc Sidecar White Background + Black Numbers
Formula Two Sidecar Mail Box Red Background + Black Numbers

JUNIOR CAPACITY

Up to 70cc Canary Yellow Background + White Numbers
70cc and over Black Background + Black Numbers

9.11.2.2 Additional colour combinations may be used, at the discretion of the Relevant Controlling Body.
9.11.2.3 Australian Superbikes may use any contrasting colour on side number plates providing they are legible at 20 metres.

9.11.3 Number Plate Figures

9.11.3.1     Unless otherwise specified in supplementary regulations, Road Race discipline number figures must be Arial Rounded MT Bold font or one of the fonts
outlined in GCR 9.11.5; in all fonts used the serif on number ‘1’ may be shortened or removed but not extended.
9.11.3.2 Figures must be clearly legible, the minimum being:

Height 140mm
Width of each figure 75mm
Space between 2 figures 25mm
Space between figures and edge of number panel 12mm

9.11.4 Junior Number Plates
9.11.4.1 Number plates for Juniors must be as follows:
a) A minimum plate size of 225mm width and 200mm height,
b) Figures with minimum sizes of 100mm height and 20mm width of stroke.
